Patrick Barrow / BIO
A native of Belize, Patrick attended Wesley School and Wesley College, Patrick patcipating in many
athletic sports, HIGH JUMP, BICYCLE CYCLING RACES.
Patrick always had a love for music, as he was fondly known, to be one of the first walking record sales
person going door to door selling albums in Belize after he introduced the idea to TEENS RECORDS in
the early 1960’s whIle still attending College..
Many folks today still reminiscing going to parents place “BARROW’S HALL”, in Belize city to party when they were all
teenagers back in the early 1960’s alongside dancing to their favorite DJs: *TUCKER BOX or *DEEP MANTONE,
Barrow worked full time in 1965-1967 at The Angelus Press in Belize City. .
In 1967 after moving to Los Angeles and work for several different Furniture companies. Barrow went on to learn a new profession, “Wood Refinishing & Antique Restoration”.
In 1978, opportunity came and a job opening was offer to Patrick to work in the MODEL PAINTING DEPT @ HOWARD HUGHES AIRCRAFT in Playa Vista, CA.
Barrow turned it down, because 1978 he had 2 other project on his agenda to get started,
In 1978 Patrick made history in putting together the first reggae headliner group in Los Angeles called The Babylon Warriors. The group went on to sold-out and packed small and large venues across America, such as *THE ROXY; *THE WHISKY A-GO-GO; * HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM; *SANTA MONICA CIVIC CENTER; *STARLITE AMPHITHEATRE; *UNIVERSITIES; *TV SHOWS; *MANY COLLEGE;*BELIZE CAYE FEST in Los Angeles and BELIZE; *LA STREET FEST; *KJLH 'FAMILY APPRECIATION DAY'; *LA STREET SCENE; * SANTA MONICA PIER-TWILGHT CONCERTS SERIES EVENT.
In 1986 as a Record Producer, Patrick started his own record label Caye Records. It was a bridge that helped develop and elevate the careers for many Belizean Artists, such as; Babylon Warriors; Elihue Flowers; Anthony Richards; Andy Palacio, Pupa Curly; Iwanhi; Bredda David Obi; Michael Wagner; Mr Wilfred Peters; Leelaa Vernon; Iwanhi; Cocono Bwai; Ernestine Carballo; Brukdong Gyal; other caribbean artists include; Rahsul
To-date CAYE RECORDS catalog includes: *Brukdong Music *Cungo Music *Punta Rock *Reggae Music
In 1988-2000, Barrow alongside his TEAM Belize Cultural Association; David Buddan, Duncan Haylock, Pupa Curly, Errol Diaz. helped to organized and produced Belize's largest festival outside the country of Belize. The first annual Belize Caye Fest 1988 in Los Angeles and in Belize @ Birds Isle 1989 & 1990

In 1990, Babylon Warriors received national recognition while performing their reggae hit, "Brutal," before sold-out seventy five thousands fans at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum during the visit of African Freedom Fighter,
In 2004, 2005 & 2008 Barrow got an opportunity to record and produced Mr. Wilfred Peter’s, (popularly known as “Mr. Peters”) last three CDs, giving Brukdong music a fresh approach to a danceable Bruk Bram Riddim style.
The ‘dis da Belize Music’ motto and trademark which Barrow and company have pressed into their unique blend of Brukdong, Punta and Kungo Music, is now widely recognized.
